If you follow the data of trends as we do, then you might know that vegan products, or the non-diary sector, continue to grow year over year. If you own an ice cream shop, you should be taking advantage of this trend and offering a vegan or non-dairy-based product at your store.

One way to take advantage of this trend is to identify your market. As a whole, it's estimated 2-6% of the population cannot, or choose not to, consume dairy products. Out of the 330 million people in the USA. Just two percent of that is 6.6 million people. This is no longer a trend like it was 6 or 7 years ago. It is now a niche that you can cater to. Another way to think about is through demographics. How many vegan Baby Boomers have you ever met? Very few. The younger generations, Millennials and Gen-Z carry tremendous purchasing power and are more likely to be concerned over the type of products they consume. This market is only growing, thus why it makes sense to create a vegan product and start marketing it.

As if profit wasn't incentive enough! What about quality? How would you like to serve a quality vegan product that everyone raves about? It's possible now. The ingredients and products for the vegan market have vastly improved in the last few years alone. Why? Because the market has grown tremendously, and companies are now putting some R&D into their products to make them better.

Now, you can offer a product that not only checks the box of being non-dairy, but you can produce a quality product that tastes delicious.
