If you're in the frozen section of the grocery store aisle nowadays you'll notice a trend going on, there are less half gallon generic brands of ice cream and more pints and quarts of select novelty ice cream brands. Consumers today are looking for higher quality, smaller quantity products rather than the generic two dollar tub.
Novelty products aren't strictly limited to ice cream products, for instance, you could offer pretzel trays as a compliment with your main offering. Addition novelty items can include popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cakes, birthday trays, ice cream tray and of course pints and quarts of your homemade ice cream or water ice. Producing and packaging your own unique flavors for the customer to take with them will not just create additional revenue streams but creating branding opportunities as well.
